Meet at trailhead, gear check, hike through meadows/forest to snowline, establish high camp. Afternoon skills session (crampons/axe, rope travel), early dinner & sunset views.
DAY 2
Glacier Skills & Rest
Refine movement on snow, rope-team practice, terrain management, summit plan review, and early to bed. Hydration and rest are the priority.
DAY 3
Summit & Exit
Alpine start (pre-dawn). Climb the Easton Glacier at a steady pace, summit Mt. Baker (10,781 ft) conditions permitting, descend to camp, pack up, and hike out.

Do I need prior glacier experience?

No. This is a great first glacier climb. We’ll teach the fundamentals before and during the ascent.

How heavy is my pack?

Plan for 30–40 lb including personal gear, shared group items, water, and food to camp.

What boots do I need?

Mountaineering boots compatible with crampons (typically semi-automatic). We’ll send a gear list and rental options if needed.

What if the weather turns?

Safety first. Guides may adjust route, timing, or turn around. A summit is never guaranteed; a great experience is.

Can I rent technical gear?

How tough is summit day?
