Justin grew up in Atlanta, GA, and began his guiding career after graduating from Georgia Tech with a major in Mechanical Engineering. Justin began his climbing career on Chimborazo, the highest volcano in Ecuador, where he fell in love with fighting gravity in challenging mountain environments. Justin then moved to Washington, where he dived into technical glacier and ice climbing routes. After guiding in Washington state and internationally for several years for the largest and most reputable guide services, Justin founded Skyline Mountain Guides with a higher standard of client care in mind. Since then, he has climbed and guided all over the world. Justin has successfully led Denali expeditions with 3 summits. Internationally, Justin has led expeditions to 6000 meter peaks in South America and Nepal, and loves to explore new mountain ranges around the world. When not climbing, Justin enjoys backcountry skiing and slalom water skiing. Justin is a Leave No Trace Trainer and has training in Wilderness First Responder and AIARE Pro 1. Additionally, Justin is pursuing his IFMGA guide certification.
